Lexis TESOL Training Centres finished its spring part-time CELTA course last week on the Sunshine Coast. Over the past 10 weeks, trainees have worked hard at coming to grips with the intricacies of the English language and discovered new and varied ways to make the language accessible for students.
All trainees performed admirably and all carried out their 6 hours of assessed teaching practice, their 6 hours of observations, and all their assignments. It has been a long journey from their Thai lesson in week 1 to their professional development and job session in week 10, and along the way they have learned and implemented new teaching methodology and increased their grammatical knowledge.
The trainees connected with their students, some of whom travelled from Noosa to take part in the free English lessons, and the feedback on their teaching was positive.
So congratulations to all members of our 2014 spring CELTA course and, whether you teach at home or use your qualification to travel, we wish you all the best in your future as CELTA qualified English language teachers.
